i didnt use my macbook pro for like 3 months! Just because the cd was in their nothing else worked properly! What i did was switched off my laptop and put the card in their and switched it on and after like about 3 minutes the cd came out by it self! try it ppl! might help! its a big pain in ass!!

thank you soooooo much, the cd was stuck for weeks, your method of restart/holding trackpad worked instantly, of course apple.com did not have this information, as they want you to pay for repairs…shame on CR-APPLE for no manual eject pinhole, and may your (free) help to others reap you many blessings!!!!

We had a mini CD disk stuck in our Macbook. We tried the power down – power up with track bar down, eject button etc. which didn’t work. Wet ended up turning off the computer and closed the lid then bumped the laptop a few times on my thigh with the disk slot down and away from my leg and the disk slid out. It was easy and safe since the laptop wasn’t powered on.

Just wanted to chime in that this worked for me! I have an Intel based Macbook. I’ve always had some problems getting DVDs to eject – they never spit out far enough so once I eject it, it goes right back inside. Usually if I take a q-tip moistened with a little running alcohol and run it along the opening it will help. Also, I generally do have to tip my laptop on its side to let gravity do its job. This time, though, it wasn’t even *trying* to eject the dvd. I had just burned something to disk, which was successful (from what I’ve read while looking for a solution, seems like unsuccessfully burning a dvd or cd seems to cause this problem frequently.)

Anyway, I turned it off, let it sit for about a minute and turned it back on – pressing the trackpad button the entire time. It tried to eject after about 45 seconds, but was sucked back in. Once OS X was starting to load, I tried just hitting the eject button (with laptop on its side) and the stupid thing finally spit out.
