It is because the theme is set to show the excerpt instead of the content, see http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_excerpt – you can change it yourself.

I switched over to your theme and I love it. One problem though….after switching over the blog posts no longer show my name as the author and the social icons are no longer there. Any suggestions as to how to rectify this?
